In running and maintaining our website, we may collect and process the following data about you. All identity and right-to-work verification files are securely processed by our partners, Sumsub:

Contact Information: Your full name, email address, physical UK home address, and telephone/mobile numbers.
Payroll & Tax Details: Your Date of Birth, National Insurance (NI) Number, and tax code proofs (such as P60 documents or payslips) for tax setup and processing.
Identity Verification Records: Copies of your passport, biometric residence permits (BRP), driving licence, selfie verification images, or EU settlement share codes to perform mandatory Right to Work checks.
Career & Experience History: Work histories, certificates, qualifications, licensing files, cv document uploads, and specific job preferences.
Website Usage Data: Information about your use of our site including details of your visits, pages viewed, and resources accessed.

2. Use of Your Information

We use the information that we collect from you to provide our services. In addition to this, we may use the information for one or more of the following purposes:

To register your profile and match your qualifications with immediate-start job vacancies.
To perform legally required UK Right to Work compliance checks and background audits.
To set up and run client billing and candidate payroll processing upon successful assignment placement.
To notify you about active shift bookings, matching candidate leads, or updates to current jobs.
To secure and protect our networks, preventing fraudulent profile creation or data breaches.

3. Storing and Securing Personal Data

All information you provide to us is stored on secure cloud database servers. Any upload operations or connection packets are fully encrypted using 256-bit SSL technology.

Right to Work checks, including passport scans and selfie verifications, are stored in encrypted document folders. Access is restricted to vetted compliance officers. Right to Work files are kept on record strictly for regulatory compliance periods and are automatically purged from our systems 12 months after your last shift placement or immediately upon account closure.

4. Disclosing Your Information

We will not disclose your personal information to any other party other than in accordance with this Privacy Policy and in the circumstances detailed below:

In the event that we introduce you to an employer for active temp cover or permanent placement (only matching files and contact details are shared).
Where we are legally required by law (such as sharing tax codes or NI reports with HM Revenue & Customs).
To further fraud protection and reduce the risk of identity theft.

5. Your Rights Under UK GDPR

Under the General Data Protection Regulation, you hold specific statutory rights regarding your personal information:

Right of Access: You can request a summary of the data we hold on you at any time.
Right to Rectification: You can update any outdated or incorrect contact details in your profile dashboard.
Right to Erasure (Right to be Forgotten): You can request the deletion of all candidate profiles and compliance documents by emailing us at gdpr@recruitmentchoice.co.uk. We will process and purge your record within 30 days, subject to HMRC payroll retention rules.
